We have launched on last Oct 07 the first of a flotilla of 4 very unique, authentic and charming Sampans named “Song Xanh Cruise”, designed for travelers looking for “private” cruise experiences in the Mekong Delta. Onboard, two spacious spaces of 15sqm each are equipped with beautiful bamboo and rattan furniture, creating a very charming atmosphere. Very attentive service is provided by a team of 4 crew members”.

Private 2 days - Life on the river (Cai Be - Can Tho) Cai Be – Binh Minh - Tan Quoi - Cai Rang – Can Tho

Day 01: Cai Be – Binh Minh - Tan Quoi

Begin cruising from Phu An Jetty at 10:00 am. From the sampan, observe life as it plays out on shore – people going about their daily activities set against mesmerising backdrops. En route to Binh Minh, we will stop at various points along the river for a look into some of the cottage industries of the region including the making of coconut candy and puffed rice (the local equivalent of popcorn) including a visit to an ancient house in Dong Hoa Hiep village.

Continue by sampan, observing from your boat the life on the shore, the people, and the stunning landscapes. We will then cross the Co Chien river passing by quaint villages to visit a clay pot factory. Lunch is served on board while cruising towards Binh Minh along a narrow canal teeming with life. Observe the endless boat traffic and the quiet but constant activity along the banks. Enjoy shore excursions to gain insight into how the local people make a living, and stop for a visit to a Cao Dai temple. Back to your sampan and enjoy the sunset cruise while Song Xanh continues its way towards the Hau River.

Day 02: Tan Quoi - Cai Rang – Can Tho

Wake up early at 6:00 am for a visit to the famous Cai Rang Floating Market. Witness the hustle and bustle of the morning market as traders offer their wares on the waterway vying for attention from potential punters. Breakfast is served on board while the Song Xanh navigates towards the market among local barges loaded down with fruits and vegetables from the Delta, making for some stunning photos. Continue cruising towards Victoria Can Tho and disembark at the hotel’s private jetty.

Day 01: Can Tho - Cai Von - Tan Phong

Your crew welcomes you on board your private sampan with cold towels and a refreshing drink. Cruise the waterways of the Mekong Delta, observing villagers going about their daily activities against picturesque landscapes while your attentive crew serves tea and seasonal fruit. We will then cross the Hau River passing by quaint villages to visit a family who makes delicate tofu skin, a food product made from boiling soy milk with a plethora of uses.

Continue by sampan, and observe the endless boat traffic and the quiet but constant activity along the banks. Enjoy shore excursions to gain insight into how the local people make a living, and stop for a visit to a Cao Dai temple. Lunch is served on board while cruising towards Vinh Long along a narrow canal teeming with life. Stop for a visit at a clay pot factory before crossing Co Chien River. Enjoy the sunset cruise while Song Xanh continues its way towards the Tiền River. Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 02: Tan Phong - Dong Hoa Hiep - Phu An

After breakfast on board, take a rowing boat along the
canal or just walk a little bit further into the village to see
how local people make a variety of common handicrafts
such as hammocks, handbags from water hyacinths. Back to sampan and cruise to Dong Hoa Hiep for a visit to an ancient house. Continue to Phu An village and stop along the way to see local cottage industries that utilize products from the Delta, like rice and coconuts, to make tasty snacks including puffed rice and chewy coconut candy.

Our cruise ends at Le Longanier Restaurant. Lunch is
served in this exquisite riverside colonial-style villa set in
lush tropical gardens and surrounded by fruit plantations,
a throwback to the elegant lifestyle enjoyed by a privileged few in Indochinese times.

Day 01: Ho - Chi Minh - Cai Be - Nha Man

Meet us at Phu An Jetty at 10:00 am and start with a bicycle ride around this picturesque rural area, ending up at Le Longanier Restaurant.

Lunch is served in this exquisite colonial-style villa set in a lush tropical garden by the river. After lunch, board the Song Xanh Sampan for a leisurely cruise on the busy waterways of the Mekong Delta, with stops along the way to visit an ancient house in Dong Hoa Hiep village and local cottage industries that utilize products from the Delta like rice and coconuts. As we make our way down this famous river take in the local life as you pass by fisher folk checking their daily catch and floating houses imperceivably balanced on the mighty Mekong. Tonight, dinner is served on board the vessel.

Day 02: Nha Man - Cai Tau Ha - Vinh Long

After breakfast on board, cruise towards Vinh Long along a narrow river, passing several houses on stilts to arrive at Cai Tau Ha, a quaint village. Take a stroll along the riverbank to visit a temple which makes traditional medicine from herbs or walk further into the village to see how black-smiths make a variety of common farming tools and iron objects for everyday life.

Lunch is then served back on board before we make another foray into a clay pot factory in Vinh long. We will then head back to our sampan to further explore the small tributaries of the river.

The last stopover before sunset is a charming outdoor market where you can see how people sell local materials such as agricultural products, farming tools and fishing tools.

Observe the endless boat traffic and the quiet but constant activity along the banks. Enjoy shore excursions to gain insight into how the local people make a living, and stop for a visit to a Cao Dai temple.

Return on board for dinner while the Song Xanh continues its cruise towards the Hau River.

Day 03: Vinh Long - Cai Rang - Can Tho

We set off early at about 6:30 am to visit the famous Cai Rang Floating Market. Breakfast is served on board while the Song Xanh navigates towards the market among local barges laden with fruit and vegetables. Be sure to have your camera ready for photos from this unique vantage point!
Later on, cruise towards Victoria Can Tho and disembark at the hotel’s private jetty.

at Spices Restaurant. After lunch, the crew welcomes you on board the Song Xanh sampan with chilled towels and a refreshing drink as the boat begins its leisurely cruise on the river.

Observe the endless boat traffic and the quiet but constant activity along the banks. Head ashore on Son Islet and stroll through the tiny village to visit fish farm and vegetable gardens. Walk along the island’s picturesque paths for close-up views of country living.

Back to sampan, we make our way down the Hau River and take in the local life as you pass by fisher folk checking their daily catch during sunset. Tonight, dinner is served on board the vessel. Enjoy your night on the river.

Day 02: Cai Rang - Cai Von - Tan Phong

At about 6:30 am, set off early to arrive at the famous Cai Rang Floating Market at its peak. Breakfast is served on board while the Song Xanh navigates among dozens of local barges laden with rice and other products from the Delta. We will then cross the Hau river passing by quaint
villages to visit a family who makes delicate tofu skin, a
food product made from boiling soy milk with a plethora of uses.

Continue by sampan, observe the endless boat traffic and the quiet but constant activity along the banks. Enjoy shore excursions to gain insight into how the local people make a living, and stop for a visit to a Cao Dai temple.

Lunch is served on board while cruising towards Vinh Long along a narrow canal teeming with life. Stop along the river for the shore excursion to visit the countryside area. Back to Song Xanh sampan and continue to clay pot factory before crossing Co Chien River.

Enjoy the sunset cruise while Song Xanh continues its way towards the Tien River. Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 01: Cai Be – Sa Dec

Your journey starts from Phu An Jetty at 10:00 am. Begin with a bicycle ride around this remote countryside area, ending up at Le Longanier Restaurant. Lunch is served in this exquisite colonial-style villa set in a lush tropical garden by the river.

After lunch, start your leisurely cruise on the Delta’s beautiful waterways, with stops along the way to explore local cottage industries that provide a living for the river people. Board the local row boat to better explore the Tan Phong islet. Before arriving at Sa Dec, visit a traditional brick factory where everything is made by hand. Arriving at Sa Dec, step ashore and stroll to the outdoor market. Visit the Kien An Cung, ancient Chinese architecture has played an important part in the Chinese community in Dong Thap for nearly a hundred years. Dinner is served on board. Enjoy your first night on board the Song Xanh on the Mekong River.

Day 02: Sa Dec – Long Xuyen - Phu Tan

Breakfast is served on board while you cruise towards Long Xuyen along a narrow canal, passing several scenic monkey bridges.

After enjoying lunch on board, arrive in Long Xuyen to visit Tiger Island, birthplace of Vietnam’s second president.

Return to the sampan for dinner and resume your cruise towards Chau Doc. Your boat sails until approximately 10:00 pm before anchoring for the night. Overnight on board.

Day 03: Phu Tan - Chau Doc

Breakfast is served on board while your sampan cruises towards Chau Doc. Close to the border with Cambodia, Chau Doc is the gateway to Phnom Penh. Known throughout Vietnam for its pagodas and temples, Chau Doc is also famous for the Tra Su Bird Sanctuary, a superb eucalyptus mangrove. Disembark at Victoria Chau Doc private pier at approximately 10:00 am.

Before arriving in Sa Dec, stop to visit a traditional brick factory where everything is made by hand. Arriving in Sa Dec, step ashore and take a stroll to a lively outdoor market. Visit the Kien An Cung, ancient Chinese architecture has played an important part in the Chinese community in Dong Thap for nearly a hundred years. Dinner is served onboard. Enjoy your night on board your sampan as it moors on the Mekong River.

Day 02: Sa Dec – Long Xuyen – Rach Gia

Breakfast is served on board as you cruise towards Long Xuyen along narrow canals past several rustic monkey bridges and pristine countryside scenes. After enjoying lunch on board, arrive at Long Xuyen to visit Tiger Island, birthplace of Vietnam’s second president. Return to the sampan for dinner and resume your cruise towards Rach Gia. Enjoy your second night on board.

Day 03: Rach Gia

Arrive in Rach Gia at around 7:00 am, the capital of Kien Giang Province, located on the coast of the Gulf of Thailand. Breakfast is served on board before disembarkation. For travelers traveling early to Phu Quoc, we can serve breakfast as early as 6:00 am.
