Day 01: Cai Be – Vinh Long – Tra On

10:30 – 11:00: Arrival at the pier of Cai Be. Transfer by junk which takes us to a sumptuous traditional residence, former imperial residence, where the descendants of the family of Kiet welcome you and invite you to taste tea accompanied by savory samples of tropical fruits. We have the opportunity to walk through the orchard. Continuation towards the artisanal villages where rice and coconut products are produced: rice alcohol, puffed rice cakes, rice paper, coconut milk sweets.
12:00: Embarkation on the boat of Le Cochinchine, welcome by a welcome drink. Lunch on board as the boat heads towards Co Chien. During the cruise, you will have the opportunity to contemplate beautiful authentic landscapes that stand by the river.
In the afternoon, we go on foot or by bike along the paths through the villages. The walk allows us to discover verdant orchards and river activities, and especially to make contact with the local inhabitants.
The boat continues in the direction of Tra On, while ascending up the river. The aperitif is offered on the upper deck while enjoying a foot massage as the sun gradually sets on the river.
Taking part in a cooking class on the boat, you will have the chance to try to make Pumpkin flower stuffed with That Lat fish and learn how to cut vegetables for decorating dishes.
Dinner and overnight on board to enjoy the beauty of the river at night.

Day 02: Tra On – Can Tho

An early awakening allows you to contemplate the dawn on the Mekong River: fresh air, bird song, barges traffic, and bubbling activities of the inhabitants in the banks of the river. Breakfast on board while the boat sails slowly toward Can Tho.
Check-out Le Cochinchine boat, say “goodbye” to our friendly staff, we transfer you by small boat for visit of Cai Rang, one of the most bustling floating markets in the whole Mekong Delta. The Cai Rang floating market is known as a high-light cannot be missed when you explore the Western rivers of Vietnam.
Boat trip along the coves shaded by palm trees. You will be able to admire magnificent orchards, local dwellings, shipbuilding yards and the hustle and bustle of the river industry. Visit an orchard where you will find many kinds of tropical fruits such as: mango, dragon fruit, kumquat, jackfruit…

Day 01: Can Tho – Tra On – Cho Lach

10:30 – 11:00 A.M: Arrival at the pier in Can Tho, boarding a local boat to discover the floating market of Cai Rang, one of the most typical markets of the aquatic region.

Lunch on board while our boat sails to Tra On.
In the afternoon, you will leave for a pleasant walk, on foot or by bike, on the paths lined with greenery. A few planned stops allow you to discover concretely the life of the local inhabitants, orchards or fields of green rice.

Charming Mekong 2 Days 1 Night Cai Be - Sa Dec - Cai Be

Day 01: Cai Be – Cai Thia – Sa Dec

10:30 – 11:00: reach the banks of the Mekong Delta in Cai Be. Embark on Le Cochinchine with a welcome drink.

Cycling along the islands of Cai Thia, taking picturesque views of rural activities.

Return on boat. Le Cochinchine sets sails toward Sa Dec, a nice and quiet town overlooking Mekong river while lunch is served on boat.

At noon: Back on board, lunch is served during a cruise to Sa Dec – a charming village where still traces of French novelist Marguerite Duras.

On arrival, we visit the old house of Huynh Thuy Le – the house of the lover of Marguerite Duras which makes you surprised by its original architecture.

After, transfer to the floriculture village and temple of Caodaism.

Return to our boat to savor a foot massage served on the upper deck while enjoying an exotic pre-dinner drink.

Do not forget to take part in the cooking course on board which allows you to try to make the specific dish of the Mekong Delta: “The pumpkin flower stuffed with fish from the Mekong”.

Day 02: My Thuan – Cai Be

Rising up early for another nice day we contemplate sunrise while having breakfast on board.

Our boat set sails again and cruises along the Mekong while taking in orchards and gardens toward Cai Be. Explore Cai Be floating market on a local boat then visit local coconut and rice sweet factories

We continue to explore evergreen islands and visit the former Imperial residence the traditional House, where surviving members of the Kiet family will welcome us with tea, and we may wander in the fruit orchards around the house.

Get off in Cai Be harbour around 11:00 A.M. The cruise concludes.

10:30 – 11:00: Welcome you at our Cai Be pier. Join our large boat for a welcome drink and check-in your room. Le Cochinchine continues to Cai Thia.
Landing at the island of Cai Thia where you will have a lovely cycling or walking excursion through the villages bordered by green orchards, rice fields…
Come back to our boat for lunch while the boat cruises toward Sa Dec, a charming and quiet town located on the bank of the Tien River.
On arrival, we visit a brickyard at the entrance of the village. Continuation to the lively market of Sa Dec followed by a visit to the old house of Huynh Thuy Le – the lover of the French novelist Marguerite Duras, as well as Trung Vuong primary school founded at the beginning of the 20th century by Marguerite Duras’s mother. In the heart of the village of Sa Dec, we discover the Cao Dai temple, the garden of bonsai and flowers.
Return to our boat and enjoy the foot massage while watching the sunset over the Mekong River and sipping an aperitif.

Day 02: Cai Be – Mang Thit – Tra On

Get up early in the morning to contemplate the sunrise on the romantic river before breakfast on board.
Transfer by junk to explore the floating market of Cai Be which is specific to the aquatic area. Continuation by a visit of sumptuous traditional residence, former imperial residence where the descendants of the Kiet family open their doors to welcome you to discover the sublime interior and walk through the garden strewn with fruit trees. Tea is offered, accompanied by a tasty selection of tropical fruits.
Continuation to the artisanal villages where we have the chance to discover products made from rice and coconut: rice alcohol, puffed rice cake, rice paper, coconut candy.
Return to the boat, lunch on board while the boat is heading for the Co Chien River.
In the afternoon, a walk or bike along the paths through the countryside and villages will allow you to discover the orchards, the river activities and get in touch with the local population.

Day 03: Tra On – Can Tho Departure

Breakfast on board. The morning bobbling commotion of Mekong river life comes to life for another lovely day. Our boat sets sails to Can Tho through tributaries, canals and arroyos.
Transfer by local boat to visit the market of Cai Rang, one of the most important floating markets of the region, crowded with small and big boats zigzagging on the animated waters.
Following along the coves shaded by fruit trees, palm trees … you will come to an orchard where you will find many kinds of fruits: mango, star apple, papaya, dragon fruit, and coconut.
11h00 A.M: Disembark at the pier in Can Tho. End of nice cruise.

Day 01: Can Tho – Tra On – Cho Lach

10:30 – 11:00: Arrival at our pier in Can Tho. Transfer by local boat to explore the Cai Rang market, one of the most bustling floating markets in the whole Mekong Delta.
Embarkation on Le Cochinchine boat with a welcome drink.
Le Cochinchine continues to Tra On. Lunch served on board. Leisurely cruise down the Mekong while enjoying fabulous scenery.
Walk or cycle on the green paths, crossing the countryside and villages to discover the orchards, the local river life style on the Mekong Delta and get in touch with the local people.
Back to our boat for your relaxation with a foot massage. You will enjoy an aperitif at the magnificent sunset.

Day 02: Cho Lach – Hoa Khanh – Sa Dec

Wake up early in the morning to admire splendid sunrise on the Mekong River with songs of birds, the animation of the boats characterizing the life of river region.
Breakfast is served on board.
Walk/ cycle amongst the lush vegetation to visit the fruit farm and meet the local people on the small island in Cai Be.
Come back to the boat. Le Cochinchine set sails on Co Chien River in the direction of Sa Dec while lunch is served on board.
In the afternoon, we will visit a local brickyard on the banks of the river at the entrance of the village. In the heart of the village, a bike ride or a walk to visit the local market, the old house of Huynh Thuy Le, Trung Vuong primary school, founded at the beginning of the 20th century by the mother of the French novelist Marguerite Duras. Continue to the Cao Dai Temple and the blossoming flowers and bonsai garden of Sa Dec.
Return on board with an exotic aperitif on the upper deck before dinner.

Day 03: Cai Be Departure

After the breakfast on board, transfer to discover the Cai Be.
Transfer to a local boat for an extensive visit of Cai Be: the floating market, the old house of Mr. Ba Kiet, delightful flower garden and orchard, local pop-rice, coconut candy and rice paper manufacturers. Sample local sweets and fruits during the trip.
The local boat sails through tiny canals and arroyos before bringing you back to the shore. Get off around 11h00 A.M at Cai Be harbor. End of nice cruise.

At the entrance of the town, you will visit a brickworks to understand the life of local people.
Continue to the city center for a visit to the lively market of Sa Dec followed by the traces of Marguerite Duras, including the old house of Mr. L’Amant, the school for girls of Trung Vuong, founded at the beginning of the 20th century by Marguerite Duras’s mother.
In the heart of the village of Sa Dec, discover the temple of Caodaism-a new South Western Vietnam from 1926, and the flower garden and bonsai of Sa Sec.
Return to the boat, lunch on board when the boat cruises towards Long Xuyen through the inverted channel of Lap Vo with magnificent scenery along the shores: River activities, flower cultivation, vegetables, shrimp trap, children bathing.
Discover the countryside and villages when you arrive at the crocodile farm in Long Xuyen.
Participation in the cooking class with the typical dish of the Mekong Delta “The pumpkin flower stuffed with the fish of the Mekong”.

Day 03: Long Xuyen – Cho Moi – Hoa Hao

Breakfast on board over the sunrise.
Explore the Long Xuyen market one of the most bustling floating markets in Mekong Delta with hundreds of small boats barging and jostling for space as owners attempt to sell their goods.
Walking or cycling through the countryside and villages on the island of Ong Ho by discovering the daily life of the local people and visiting the ancient home of the President of Ton Duc Thang, Vietnam’s second president after President Ho Chi Minh. You will have a unique opportunity to discover a side of Delta life that few travelers experience.
Enjoy lunch on boat while our cruise carries on our journey to the village of Hoa Hao.
On arrival, transfer to the local boat for the visit of the floating village of the fishermen and the village to the handicrafts of Cham where the inhabitants practice Islamism.

Day 04: Chau Doc – Phnom Penh

This morning, we have a speedboat from Chau Doc to Phnom Penh departing at 7h30 A.M. The boat takes us along the Mekong River. It continues on to the Vietnamese (Vinh Xuong) – Cambodian (Kaom Samnar) border and then to Phnom Penh, capital of Cambodia. The journey takes approximately 4 hours.

Arrival at our hotel in Phnom Penh, the capital of Kingdom of Cambodia. A visit of Phnom Penh is a very interesting experience indeed. It is a city with an interesting pulse and it gives you a very true taste of Asia. We will visit the Wats Phnom, National museum, silver Pagoda and Royal Palace.

Day 05: Phnom Penh – Siem Reap

This morning there will be a transfer to Phompenh airport to Siemriep. Arrival Siemriep, transfer to the hotel.

 

We will visit the Floating Village on Tonle Sap Lake and take boat trip to see the daily life on the village. The natural wonder of Tonle Sap offers an insight into the old tradition of riparian life and the natural splendor of the countryside.

Afternoon, continue visit to WatThmey, contains a unique glass-walled stupa containing the bones of victims of the Khmer Rouge. After that, visit to Wat Memorial Monument. Later this afternoon, early evening, you will be taken by TukTuk, a small open-sided taxi common in Cambodia, to cruise around the suburb of Siem Reap town.

Day 06: Anglor Wat Temple

Visit Angkor Thom, the South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon Temple, built from the late 12th century to the early 13th century by King Jayavarman VII and consists of 54 towers, the Royal Enclosure, the Phimeanakas, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King, then visit Ta Prohm, surrounded by jungle.

Visit Angkor Wat, the largest temples in world and covers an area of 200 hectares and surrounded by moat and an exterior wall measuring 1300 meters x 1500 meters. Tonight we will enjoy diner with traditional Khmer folk performance of Apsara at the local restaurant.

Day 07: Siem Reap Departure

Day 01: Angkor Wat Temple

We will the Floating Village on Tonle Sap Lake and take boat trip to see the daily life on the village. The natural wonder of Tonle Sap offers an insight into the old tradition of riparian life and the natural splendor of the countryside.
Lunch at local restaurant.
Afternoon: Visit the Roluos Group. The monuments of Rolous, which served as the capital of Indravarman I (reigned 877-89. PreahKo erected by Indravarman I in the late 9th century dedicated by the King to his ancestors in 880. Bakong the largest and most interesting of the Roluos group temples, with his active Buddhist monastery just to the north of the east entrance. Lolei built on an islet in the center of a large reservoir (now rice fields) by Yasovarman I, the founder to the first city at Angkor.

Continue to visit to Artisan D’Angkor, a handicraft center the Handicraft for the wood and stone carving processes.  Continue visit to WatThmey or Killing Field, contains a unique glass-walled stupa containing the bones of victims of the Khmer Rouge. After that, visit to Wat Memorial Monument.

In the afternoon, transfer to airport for the flight to Phnompenh. Transfer to the hotel check in. At leisure to walk in the city and explore the local market.

Day 04: Phnom Penh – Chau Doc

Breakfast at hotel followed by the city tour.
A visit to Phnom Penh is a very interesting experience indeed. It is a city with an interesting pulse and it gives you a very true taste of Asia. We will visit the Wats Phnom, National museum, silver Pagoda and Royal Palace.
Afternoon, we take a speedboat from Phnom Penh to Chau Doc. The boat ride leaves at 12:30 P.M at Sisowath International Pier, No 103 Sisowath Quay, Phnompenh, Cambodia and arrives at Con Tien floating restaurant, Tran Hung Dao Street, Chau Doc town, An Giang Province, Vietnam at 5:30 P.M.
Embark on Cochinchine boat. Enjoy the cocktail drink on sundeck.
Diner and overnight on boat.

Day 05: Chau Doc – Cho Moi – Long Xuyen

Enjoy the breakfast on boat and contemplate the wonderful scenery of morning in the Mekong River. We take the sampan through the floating fish-farm village producing tons and tons of fish beneath hundreds of floating houses, discover the ethnic Cham village with famous Mubarak Mosque and observe local women at their traditional weaving.
Continue our way to Long Xuyen for the lovely sunset cruise. Promenade/ Cycle along the Ong Ho Island, see daily life of the local people who live on both sides of the Mekong and small arroyos on the island.
Enjoy foot massage and sipping cocktails over the sunset.

Day 06: Long Xuyen – Sa Dec – My Thuan

Get up early in the morning to contemplate the sunrise on the Mekong.
After breakfast, boarding a boat which will take you to the floating market of Long Xuyen with hundreds of small boats barging and jostling for space as owners attempt to sell their goods. You will have the opportunity to see the lives of the inhabitants who live in the floating houses around the market.
Continue to the crocodile farm where you will have the opportunity to know the process of crocodile farming.
Return to our boat for lunch on board.
The boat starts slowly towards Sa Dec – a charming town located on the banks of the Tien River which is named as the 2nd Venice of Italy. Upon arrival in Sa Dec, visit a brick factory at the entrance of the city.
Afterthat, walk or bike to visit the local market of Sa Dec, the old house of Huynh Thuy Le (Marguerite Duras’s Lover) carrying the original architecture where the lover of Marguerite Duras lived, the Trung Vuong Primary school where the mother of Marguerite Duras was a teacher.
Follow a walk on the bonsai garden and flowers, the temple of Caodaism.
Return to our large boat to take part in the cooking class which helps you to make the typical dish of the Mekong delta “The pumpkin flower stuffed with the fish of the Mekong”.

Day 07: Cai Be Floating Market

After breakfast accompanied by a splendid sunrise over the Mekong, you will leave by boat to explore the floating market of Cai Be.
Visiting an old house of Mr. Kiet will allow you to see the original architecture and understand the life of the inhabitants in the Mekong Delta. You will also enjoy tea and a few pieces of tropical fruit.
Disembarkation at 11h00 A.M. Our driver will pick you up at the Cai Be Pier to take you to Ho Chi Minh City. End of our services.
