Nagi Cruise

*The cruise departs Houy Xai every Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday

Cruise morning begins with pick up from your hotel after breakfast for transfer to the pier including luggage handling, we assist you as much as we could on border crossings on both Thai and Laos sides as well as visa on arrival which is simple and easy, all you need to prepare is one passport photo and US$ for visa fee, payable in other currencies as well.

Continue on to the pier to board the Nagi boat for the first day of the cruise. Tea & coffee are served once you are settled down, enjoy the beautiful scenery along the Mekong as well as see the way of life of the people living along the river bank doing their daily routine work, fishing, washing their laundry, and even gold panning if the water level permits. A stop is made at a rural village before returning to the boat, where a hot lunch is ready to serve.

Afternoon arrival in Pak Beng, transfer to the hotel you have chosen to book on the package or on your.

Evening at leisure, your host on the boat will assist you with the evening activities, such as where to dine and other things to do around Pak Beng.

Overnight in this small, cozy town.

Following breakfast, board the Nagi of Mekong for the last leg of the cruise, with another stop at an ethnic village along the river.

Elephants bathing and gold panning may be seen along the riverbank. 

Hot lunch provided, stop at the famous Pak Ou cave temple, which houses a thousand Buddha images, and you will have a fantastic view of the river from up top.

Upon arrival at the pier in Luang Prabang, you will be whisked to your place of stay in the city by tuk-tuk or a minivan.

The program starts with early pick-up from your hotel for transfer to the pier. 

Board the Nagi of Mekong boat, simple breakfasts, coffee & tea are provided.

The program today includes stops at famous Pak Ou cave as well as the ethnic Lao village, and enjoy a freshly cooked lunch on board before arriving at Pak Beng in the afternoon for an overnight stay in this lovely town.

Enjoy your evening exploring this small, cozy town. Your host on the boat can give you suggestions on where to eat. Pak Beng can be very cold from November to January – make sure to have some warm clothes or a jacket

Following breakfasts at your hotel, check out and board the Nagi of Mekong for the final leg of Mekong journey, lunch is provided on board and one stop is made at the village along the river before reaching Houy Xai at around 16:30, in time to cross over to the Thai side for your onward journey.

You will be transferred to the Lao-Thai border, and we will provide a bus ticket to go across the Thai side of the border, Chiang Khong.
